Virtual try-on and real fitting: use both well
Preview your style online, then check the physical details in person.
Use the preview to explore your expression
Virtual try-on can help you compare silhouettes and colours on your face. Our current studio uses selected real product images in a tracked, front-facing 2D preview. It is a style aid, not a three-dimensional fitting or a measurement of your face.
Keep the camera view simple
Use even lighting, keep both eyes visible and stay nearly front-facing. Remove existing glasses if practical. Larger head turns and poor lighting can make tracking less reliable. If an overlay drifts, face the camera again rather than judging the frame from a misplaced image.
Do not judge comfort from the screen
A preview cannot tell how the bridge feels, how temples sit behind the ears or whether a frame suits a prescription. Without validated calibration, pixels do not establish millimetres. A frame that looks attractive online still needs a physical check.
Turn a shortlist into a useful visit
Save the models and colours you like, then share your list with Family Eye. The practice can confirm availability and help compare the actual frames. If a model has no supported studio asset, browse its real product photographs; a different frame should never be passed off as the one you selected.
